Chelsea & Matt have been together a little over 5 1/2 years. Chelsea was hanging out at a local bar with her cousin when she and Matt started talking. After sharing a slow dance at the bar, the two were inseparable. Even though Crystal said "Friends don't let friends date Matt Rhodes", Chelsea stuck things out, luckily for Matt lol.
Matt knew that Chelsea wanted to get married for some time. He also knew he'd be in some hot water if he bought another gun before buying Chelsea a ring. He used this to his advantage when proposing. Seriously, it only takes a few minutes with Matt to know that he loves to joke around and he loves to push Chelsea's buttons.
Matt had some of their friends come over and had them ask if he got a new gun when he came in carrying a gun case. Chelsea immediately got upset because she had yet to get her engagement ring. Chelsea said "Oh you can buy a new gun, but still can't buy me an engagement ring".
To Chelsea's surprise, Matt turned around while opening the gun case that held a ring box and said "Like this one?". It may have been the only time Chelsea was happy to see Matt carrying a new gun case lol.
Chelsea & Matt were married at the West Overton Village in Scottdale, PA. The West Overton Village features a gorgeous green space for an outdoor ceremony as well as a barn for the reception location. The village also features the Overholt Room which is a gorgeous spot for getting ready. You can also choose to have your ceremony or reception in this location. If you're looking for a venue where you can have your wedding festivities in one spot and want a gorgeous barn, make sure to check out the West Overton Barn.
The couple danced their first dance to "It All Started with a Beer" by Frankie Ballard which couldn't have been more fitting. They surprised the entire barn full of guests by mixing in "Dirt on My Boots" by Jon Pardi to really get the party going.
Of course Chelsea & Matt's special day wouldn't have been possible with these amazing vendors.
